NLWC has come into agreement to have “Winning thoughts” for High School Seniors in our community in the City of Sanford, Florida which starts with the Word of God

From the book of Philippians 4:8- To be successful in life, think about what you are thinking about and choose right thoughts Whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, what is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace what is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise think continually on these things center your mind on them and implant them in your heart. 

The Dr. R.W. Merthie Memorial Scholarship is intended to support promising High School Seniors who intend to pursue a higher education from the Sanford community. 

Scholarship requirements as follows:

• Member High School Applicants are eligible with a minimal of one year as a Faithful member regardless of the county in which you reside.
• Must have 2.5 GPA or higher
• Required to compose a 500-word essay describing why you would be honored to be a recipient of the scholarship detailing the area of interest in higher education.
• Proof of community service hours completed (75 hrs. minimal).
• Must be enrolled in a Public, Private or Charter school in the Sanford, Florida community
